Wilkes County Rest Area – Wilkes County, North Carolina (2004-2006)

•    Preliminary design of rainwater catchment from roof for flushing toilets inside the building
•    Preliminary design of waterfall feature for entrance using recycled water (signifying the mountains to the sea)
•    Preliminary design of bioswale/wetlands for treatment of runoff from truck parking and car parking areas
•    Preliminary design of natural slope filter for runoff of area down into bioswale through bioaquatic plant life (bog slopes)
